Investigating REal World Evidence of SWITCHing to SC Infliximab

Study Design
This is a prospective observational study of the real world effectiveness of switching from IV to SC IFX and subsequent use of escalated SC IFX dosing in those IBD patients who experience clinical relapse as an alternative to resuming IV therapy.
Aims
- To examine the real world effectiveness of switching from IV to SC IFX in patients receiving escalated maintenance doses of IV IFX (>5 mg/kg Q8weeks) compared to those on standard doses (5 mg/kg Q8weeks)
- To examine to the frequency of loss of response/relapse following switching from IV to SC IFX and the impact of dose escalation of SC therapy to recapture response
- To assess the impact on the carbon footprint of IBD care of switching from IV to SC IFX
- To prospectively examine the role of IUS monitoring in determining need for and outcome of dose escalation with SC IFX
- To examine patient experience, direct and in-direct costs of care and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) associated with switching from IV to SC IFX
